Myanmar fruit exporters may have another market opening up in China as a company in Nanning has offered to buy fruits from the country.
At present, much of the fruits exported to China goes through the overland border trade at Muse, Shan State.
The Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association president U Soe Than Min Din said a Chinese company had contacted the Myanmar economic attache in Nanning recently to ask about importing fruits from Myanmar. Nanning, the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, lies just north of the border with northern Vietnam.
