On 9th December 2015, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) and Yangon Stock Exchange (YSX) organized the Grand Opening Ceremony of Yangon Stock Exchange at the YSX office building.In the ceremony, H.E. Tharay Sithu U Nyan Htun, Vice President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, rang the opening bell of YSX, H.E. U Win Shein, Union Minister for Finance, delivered opening speech and Mr. Nobuchika Mori, Commissioner, Financial Services Agency of Japan, gave congratulatory speech.
As an announcement by SECM, Dr. Maung Maung Thein, Chairman, SECM / Union Deputy Minister for Finance, unveiled six (6) potential public companies having intention to list on YSX based on the Express on Interest conducted by SECM and prospect of first trading schedule.
