Singapore-based developer Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd has launched a new luxury development at its Pun Hlaing Estate in the outskirts of Yangon.

The new Lotus Hill will take up nine acres at the Pun Hlaing Estate, located along the Hlaing River to the west of Yangon, and will be made up of 71 luxury “triplex” units, the company said. The project consists of three phrases with the first phrase being implemented this year and is expected to be finished in 2017. “We have been working on the design process since 2014. In the first phrase, the construction for 13 units has already started,” Ko Lin Tun, associate director of Pun Hlaing Estate, said.

In the first phase sale, which commenced on June 25, the price is set at $620,000 per unit. “Lotus Hill brings together both quality and luxury to the customers with fair and competitive pricing in the estate market. Each of the houses is a triplex, suitable for young families or residents wanting a sleek, modern space,” Cyrus Pun, head of real estate at Yoma Strategic, said at the opening ceremony.

Lotus Hill is one of the several real estate projects of Yoma Strategic Holdings and includes facilities such as international schools, sport fields and restaurants. Each of the new Lotus Hill developments was designed by Yoma Strategic’s architect Daniel West. “When we were designing the new Lotus Hill development, we were seeking to reflect the luxurious feel that living in a community like Pun Hlaing Estate should bring.” “We designed this collection of homes to reflect the time honoured tradition of modern design, providing ample natural daylight through full height glazing and framed views to the picturesque landscape beyond,” he added.
